LITTLE Prince George is set to spend his first Christmas with both sets of grandparents — after The Queen invited Carole and Michael Middleton to Sandringham.
In a break from tradition, Prince William s in-laws will be part of the December celebrations at Her Majesty s Norfolk estate.
They will be joined by other senior royals including The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Camilla.
The Duchess of Cambridge s sister Pippa may also attend. Wills, 31, spent last year s festive period with then-pregnant wife Kate at her parents home in Bucklebury, Berks.
Pilot brother Harry was also away serving in Afghanistan. But everyone will be together at the royal Christmas for George, now three months old. A source said: “This year s celebrations are set to be extra special after Prince George s arrival.
“What better way to mark such a magical year than by having the whole family present?”
Wills and Kate, 31, also escaped to her mum and dad s home after their baby was born in July.
They then moved into a refurbished pad at Kensington Palace after Wills left his search and rescue helicopter job in Wales.
Our source added: “Kate is very close to her family. Any child s first Christmas is one no grandparent would want to miss.”
Her Majesty, Prince Philip, Charles, Camilla and Harry are first set to be joined by Michael, Carole, Pippa and her brother James Middleton for George s christening on October 23.
The Queen nearly missed last year s Christmas Day service on the estate due to illness.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, mum-to-be Zara Phillips and her England rugby hero husband Mike Tindall are also due to be present this year.
