北京大学国家发展研究院副院长，北京大学国家发展研究院/中国经济研究中心教授；澳大利亚国立大学Crawford经济与政府学院教授。

研究兴趣：宏观经济政策、国际金融体系、农村经济发展、中国与亚洲经济。

教育背景：澳大利亚国立大学经济学博士，1994年；中国人民大学经济学硕士，1987年；浙江农业大学农学学士，1984年。

工作经历：花旗集团董事总经理、亚太区经济与市场分析部主管、首席经济学家(2000年-2009年)；澳大利亚国立大学亚太研究院经济系：研究员(1994年-1995年)、高级讲师(1996年-2000年)、中国经济项目主任(1996年-1998年)；哥伦比亚大学商学院：General Mills金融与经济学国际讲座教授(1998年-1999年，一学年)；北京大学中国经济研究中心：世界银行访问研究员(1996年，三个月)；国务院农村发展研究中心发展研究所：助理研究员(1987年-1990年)。
