In 2005, Ms. Qiao joined in the team of economic research of Goldman Sachs Asia. In the past 6 years, she has done some research on Chinese macroeconomics. <<Whether China will Become Old Prior to Rich>> and <<Chinese Reserve Rate and Long Term Trend>> are both her research papers that have been published by many different media and international academic magazines.
Before joining in the Goldman Sachs, she has studied under Professor Ronald Mckinnon of International Economics at Stanford University. Professor Mckinnon is well known as the founder of financial development theory. During that time, Ms. Qiao did her research on monetary policy effects of exchange rate policy of east asia economies. In 2005, Ms. Qiao gained her PhD in economics from Stanford University. In 2003, Ms. Qiao temporarily worked in IBRD in the area of consultation of sovereign credit value. She also did an internship in the team of economic research of the Lehman Brothers in 2004. Ms. Qiao has earned a bachelor degree in international trade from the School of Economics of the Renmin University of China.
